Hope this doesn't count as advertising or spamming, but I designed this site and wondered if anyone had any opinions for it:

im looking for any and all constructive criticism.

My to-do list:
make the logo bigger (the nav buttons are currently bigger than the logo)
fix the footer (on pages where there isn't enough content, such as this one, the footer stops short of the bottom)*

other than that go to town. I'd really appreciate anything you can give me so get nitpicky. I really need to impress people if I'm going to get clients.

*about the page that doesn't have enough content: I doesn't have enough content on my 1440x900 screen not sure about other resolutions. and it is supposed to say page not found.

its very bright and "bubbly". personally, i kinda like the awardspace page better.

and the second webpage on your portfolio, is slightly broken.

yes i was going for a brighter design. I kind of like the old dark theme better also, but I think the kind of clients I'll be getting will mostly like bright colors. I'm not sure what you mean by bubbly, could you elaborate?
notice 3/4 of the designs in my portfolio are dark themed.
and how is it broken? works fine for me.

no closing quotes.

Edit: I think i just realised what that is. Its a description for your popup box things.
in that case, you also need an ALT statement, because FF is reading the TITLE as the ALT text.

yeah it is a description. And I do have alt tags.
mozilla shows the title tags as captions when you hover over the image.
but it shows the alt tag if the image doesn't load.

I think it looks good, nice and bright is usually a good thing. Customers usually don't like the dark, it "depresses" them in a way (unless your like me). But, looks good, I don;t see anything major to change, mainly because I told you everything I though on AIM.

You are on the right road. You have to find a good designer-friend, and hell show you all design practice secrets.

Here are some website design tips:
1. Always use graphics that fit the content.
2. Do not use images that blink or move or change or rotate or flash or do anything on your page.
3. Stick with standard layouts.
4. Whitespace is more than the CSS property, it is a function of your layout. You should be aware of the whitespace on your pages and how it affects how the content is viewed.
